Two Roof Types, One Careful Method
Reflection Lakes has both concrete tile and asphalt shingle roofs. On shingle, pressure washing strips the granules that protect it from the sun — the shingle industry recommends low-pressure cleaning only. On tile, it cracks brittle pieces and blows out ridge mortar. Soft washing is safe on both.
Lake humidity keeps the water-facing slopes damp, so that’s where we see algae first. We give those sections full dwell time and finish every roof with biocide to slow regrowth.
