Hammock Bay Roof Cleaning
Hammock Bay is about three miles south of our yard, on the Marco side of the bridge. Coach homes, villas, and single-family homes around the golf course — all of them sitting in Gulf salt air.
Shared Roofs, Salt & Wind
Coach homes and villas often share a roof line, so the association — not one owner — usually decides when it gets cleaned. We work with management on scheduling and provide our Certificate of Insurance up front.
Being this close to open water means salt film on every roof and steady wind most days. We plan application around the wind so solution stays on the roof and off cars, screens, and landscaping, then rinse at low pressure and apply biocide.
Roof Cleaning Cost by Roof Type

Soft Wash vs. Pressure Washing
✓ Soft Wash — What We Use
- Garden-hose pressure (50–100 PSI) — no tile or shingle damage
- Kills algae and Gloeocapsa Magma at the root
- Results last 2–5 years with biocide
- Manufacturer and warranty compliant
- Safe for landscaping, pools, and pets
- No walking on your roof tiles
✗ Pressure Washing — What We Don’t Do
- 1,500–3,000 PSI cracks tile and strips shingle granules
- Only removes the surface — roots stay alive
- Streaks return in 60–90 days
- Voids most manufacturer warranties
- Blasts mortar from ridge caps
- Forces water under tile laps
